Covid cases in India are rising with around 379,000 new cases in a day. Hospitals can’t keep up with the cases. They are turning patients away and are running out of supplies. Oxygen tanks are being escorted by the police to hospitals. The United States is providing aid to India with shipments of masks, PPE, test kits, and oxygen. Aid will continue to be provided until India is able to take it into its own hands. The AstraZeneca vaccine will also be given later on when it is approved by the FDA. The aid from the U.S. will help combat the virus but we will have to wait and see if the cases still rise daily.
