As restaurants are struggling to hire new employees, various restaurants including Chipotle are raising their pay and offering bigger career opportunities to lure in more job seekers. Chipotle is increasing its minimum wage to $15 an hour, and some employees that have worked at Chipotle for at least three years are eligible for a six-figure salary. The wage increases will start soon for new and existing employees, which will result in a pay of between $11 and $18 per hour. Chipotle can also promote some employees to a general manager position within three to three and a half years with an average compensation of $100,000. Chipotle, aiming to hire 20,000 employees during the summer, said that it’s also contributing a $200 employee referral bonus.
