Leaving Soon

Throughout my high school career, I learned, laughed, met my peers, and more. I did this for four years and now it is coming to an end. I am Dany, a senior at El Diamante and I would like to say a few words about my journey. In the beginning, I was a little freshman having big dreams for what I wanted to do after high school. Everything seemed to go by slowly, but boy was I wrong! Having the experience of taking my first art class was fun because I got to learn how to do the things I love today; I’m an artist by heart, by the way. I got to meet new people and befriend them since I was also considered “new” in town. I had so much fun there and wish I can go back to do more.  For my sophomore year, things got kind of bumpy with the pressures of studying too much of this or too much of that. But of course, that’s for every student no matter what grade they’re in. I had some conflicts and started to wonder what I actually wanted to do after high school, so I got into loving movies and shows more. I wanted to become an actress as a career goal. I attended my first drama class and had fun there, too. I’ve learned the arts of it and wanted to know more. Still, I wanted to draw and create sketches because I was still very passionate about it. For my junior year, I questioned if I still even want to have acted as a career goal and attended Drama 2. I looked more and more and BOOM! I instantly wanted to be a cartoon artist! Towards the end of my junior year, I picked out my classes and decided to get back on the game to start my new career goal. If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a sucker for comics, cartoons, and more! I love being creative and bringing my inner artist out. I forgot to mention that my junior year was cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic and school had to close down. Finally, here we are! My final year of high school. We are still facing the pandemic, but that didn’t stop me from doing what I love. I had to reflect on what I wanted to do and I am all in. I got to go to my Senior Sunrise and try to hang out with my peers. We are in our final weeks and I’m leaving so soon..
