An interview with Mr. Perez shows you more about our new staff and more about him and what he wants for his students. When asked how long Mr.Perez has been working as a teacher he said that he is in his first year teaching and had graduated in 2020 with a double major in teaching and graduated from El Diamante in 2011. He has only been teaching here and this is his only place he has ever worked as a teacher, he did not want to always be a teacher, he wanted to be a welder and was for a small amount of time but decided to become a teacher because much of his family were teachers. In his free time he likes to work on cars and has 12 years of automotive experience. Mr. Perez is not married and has no kids but he does have family, 2 sisters, a mom and dad. Mrs. Perez is his mom and she teaches at El Diamante as well. Mr. Perez likes the good feeling he has returning to his High School and his favorite part is that he can teach the next generations about cars. He would like everyone at El Diamante to know that he’d more than love to pass down his knowledge to everyone at school who wants to learn about cars.
