On August 26th, our El Diamante JV volleyball team beat Atascadero by a lot. Starting off the game with El D for the first serve. El D loses the first serve. They trailed behind Atascadero 0 – 4 with the libero struggling to pass in serve receive . El D gets the ball back and is in the lead 7 – 4. Me, with the perfect pass. Heaven Carroll with the 4 point serve lead. Atascadero trails behind not far, the score is 12 – 9 . Lexi Rios is back at the serve line, leading El D with 15 – 9. Atascadero spikes the ball down and it is . . . OUT. ! El D is still leading and the score is 17 – 9. El D misses the serve and Atascadero gets the ball. They are now coming back, 17 – 15. Going back to serve to represent El D is Ainsley Prochnow . She leads the team with 4 points , the score is now 21 – 16. Atascadero now has the ball but misses their serve. Amber Dresp is now up to serve, and Atascadero is struggling with their serve receive. The score is 24 – 16 . The last ball comes over the net and Atianna Arbizo wins with the last game point with her tip.
Starting off the second game serving is Atascadero, but El D gets the first point. Their first server is Adrianne Davis. She starts the game off with four points . Atascadero gets the ball back but misses their serve. The score is 10 – 4 . 5 . El D is still leading with Gracie rivas in the opposite position and Julissa Cardoza in the outside hitter position. The libero is now Briannah Perry in the middle back. She now serves 3 points for the team, and the score is now 13 – 5. Now comes Amber Dresp with the spike from the middle. El D is winning with 17 – 6. El D is now on a roll and Atascadero is fighting for the second game. It is now 22 – 9. Karissa Ortiz then gets the last three points with her serving, and it is a stand still with the two teams. However, Ella Frankland takes home the win with her left-handed kill.
