Season 6 of Lucifer Review

The first episode of the show Lucifer aired on January 25, 2016, and since then fans have followed the romance, family, and detective work of Lucifer and Chloe Decker. And just on September 10, 2021, the last season was released on Netflix. I have watched all five seasons of the show and just last week I finally watched the last season and finished it off. A lot of things happened in the last season and a lot of questions from the previous seasons were answered. Overall I would give the last season a 7/10 because I did have a few complaints and was a little disappointed in how some of the events played out, nonetheless I still enjoyed finishing off the show and getting to see the characters one last time on screen. The main thing that left me a little iffy was the death of Chloe Decker and how it happened. A quick summary of season 6 of the show would be that Lucifer and Chloe’s daughter Rory travels back in time to modern-day Lucifer and Chloe in hopes of killing Lucifer for abandoning her, which of course leaves Lucifer and Chloe in a state of confusion as to why Lucifer would ever abandon his own daughter when he himself has to deal with the trauma of his dad abandoning him from a young age. The season plays out to Lucifer trying his best to realize a good explanation to this and waiting for the day when he does abandon her, to avoid it. At the end of the season, we get a glimpse of Chloe on her deathbed, and the only person there to witness it is Rory. This upset me because throughout the whole show Chloe and her first daughter Trixie have such an important relationship and fans love them so much, I would have loved to see Trixie say goodbye to Chloe but instead, we only got Rory and Chloe, I understand that Rory is also her daughter but fans barely met her this last season and unlike Trixie we never saw their relationship in action nor did we see Rory grow up with Chloe. Not to mention that the last season rarely showed Trixie and that she had maybe 20 minutes of screen time. Another problem I had with season 6, is that after everything Lucifer does to end up as God in Heaven, he still ends up in Hell away from Chloe for millenniums. And the last problem I had was that when the time came to tell Ella Lopez, the forensic scientist at the LAPD, that Lucifer and his family were actually celestial beings, the reveal did not go exactly the way I thought it would and she had already been trying to uncover it when I really felt like they should have kept her clueless until they decided to tell her. Despite my complaints, a lot of good came out of this season, Dan got rid of his guilt and was finally able to make it to heaven, Eve and Maze were finally able to get married, and Amaenadial and Linda’s son got his wings. I would 100% recommend this show to anyone.
