Suicide Awareness Week

TRIGGER WARNING: suicide

Suicide  should never be the option because there is always a better option. As teenagers, suicide is something we should take very seriously and be educated on. Mental health is very important and you never know how someone’s life is behind closed doors. We should be educated on suicide. They always say “know the signs,” but what if someone doesn’t know the signs? There are so many reasons why someone would feel like they need to go this far, but parents always overlook mental health. Parents, just like students, should be educated on suicide and mental health because we feel alone or unloved the most when parents push it to the side and blame other things likes your friends or your phone. A big thank you to all the parents, teachers, friends, basically anyone who has done anything they can to help someone in need. As someone who has always struggled with mental health, I really do believe suicide awareness at school this week was really meaningful and makes me feel better knowing that we are being heard.
