On Sunday afternoon police and EMS had responded to a shooting at one of the Lancaster malls. The picture above shows police cars being parked at the Park City Mall while investigations are going on still. Also LancasterOnline reported that the city police had confirmed that officers were called to Park City Center in regards to the shooting. At around 3:15 pm the Lancaster City police said that a “police incident” had taken place. As well as stating that the mall would be closed until Monday. Also stating that there wasn’t any immediate threat or danger to the public. Furthermore it was confirmed that multiple people were shot and injured but aren’t life threatening injuries. ABC27 has reported that multiple people are in custody. If you look at online dispatch records they display that multiple ambulances were called to the mall at 142 Park City Center at 2:26 pm. Also on social media there are videos recorded inside the mall of people running and screaming as two gunshots are heard. The owner of the shopping mall has stated to Fox 43 “We are saddened and angered by the unfortunate, isolated incident that happened in our shopping center today. We are grateful for [the police’s] swift action to contain the situation. Our highest priority right now is the well being of our guests and tenants.”
