The Draining Cycle Of The “I’ll Do It Later” Mentality

As we all know, school can be extremely draining. A lot of students, including myself, tend to push things back to the last minute. We do this because, at the moment, we’re too tired and overwhelmed with everything to do it right that second. This is a dangerous mentality to have though because work piles up extraordinarily fast. For me, homework is fairly easy to do. The issue that I have is actually getting up and pulling it out in order to complete it. I always tell myself that I’ll do it in a little bit, and then suddenly the day is already over and the sun has set. I go to bed and repeat the same cycle the next day. In an attempt to give myself a break by putting things off, I have now made it way harder for myself by letting things pile up. Now it’s even harder to find the motivation to do all of the work since there’s five times more of it now. If you are ever debating to do something right that second or do it a little later, just do it right away. It’s better to get it over with so that you don’t fall into this vicious cycle.
