Puerto Rico is a wonderful and tropical island to visit for a vacation or to live in. The capital of Puerto Rico is San Juan which is an amazing place to visit when you get to Puerto Rico as well. It was found around the mid-1800s. Some places to visit when you arrive at the Caribbean island are: Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Paseo de la Princesa, Old San Juan, and other rainforest and the best part are the beaches. The Castillo San Felipe del Morro overlooks the beautiful ocean. It might be scary to get up there but it’s the most beautiful thing you can experience. The Old San Juan is an old vintage place to walk around and look and take pictures of the buildings that were built in the 16th-17th century. Paseo de la Princesa is another strolling through place to see the culture and tradition of Puerto Rico, to see the charm and more beautiful views. Beaches in Puerto Rico give a calming effect to people and people are able to see through the light blue water, with the sand between people’s feet. Another reason to visit Puerto Rico is the unique and variety of foods they offer and provide when you arrive there. The most popular foods to eat are: tostones, arroz con gandules and empanadillas plus more. Tostones are plantains that are battered with seasoning and fried with parsley sprinkled on top. They give a great appetizer served with any type of dipping sauce. Arroz con gradual which is white rice with capers, olives, pigeon peas, tomato sauce, sofrito (base made to give the flavor for the rice), and seasoning. People sometimes add pork to the meal as well. The last interesting meal is the empanadillas which the majority of people know about but for Puerto Rico the tradition is filled with ground beef or chicken with whatever else others would like to add. There are multiple reasons listed above to prove how amazing this place is to visit for vacation. VISIT PUERTO RICO you won’t regret it!
