Ingredients:
-32 individually wrapped caramels
-5 tablespoons of heavy cream
-1 cup of flour
-1 cup of rolled oats
-¾ cups of brown sugar
-½ teaspoon of baking soda
-¼ teaspoon of salt
-¾ cup of butter, melted
-½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
-½ cup of chopped walnuts
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
- In a saucepan over low heat melt the caramel and heavy cream, stirring occasionally, until smooth
- In a separate bowl mix the flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt
- Mix the melted butter into the dry ingredients
- Use half of that mixture and press it down into a 13 by 9 inch pan and save the other half for later
- Bake the mixture that is pressed in the pan for about 8 minutes
- Sprinkle the crust with the chocolate chips and the walnuts
- Pour the melted caramel and heavy cream mixture over the crust, chocolate chips and walnuts
- Crumble the rest of the crust mixture that was set aside on top of the caramel mixture
- Cook for 12 minutes
