“Since I Saw Vienna” Song Review

This song, by Wilbur Soot, is about a singer who is having trouble settling down, and at the same time is trying to move on from someone in his past. This is shown in the lyric “Treating my memory of you like a fire, let it

Burn out, don’t fight it and try to move on.”

The lyric that stands out to me the most is “’ll pick up my hiking boots when I am ready and I’ll put down my roots when I’m dead.” This stands out to me because this really shows how the writer of this song, Wilbur Soot, has a hard time settling down and choosing one thing to focus on.

“The roads are my home as horizon’s my target” is also an amazing line because it’s saying that  he’s so used to being on the road that they’re now a home to him. And saying the horizon’s his target is basically saying that he doesn’t have a target, since you can never actually reach the horizon.
