Peppermint Bark

Peppermint Bark Recipe - Dinner at the ZooServings: makes about 32 servings

Ingredients:

  • 20 ounces of white chocolate chips
  • 30 peppermint candies
  • 10 ounces of dark chocolate
  • 6 tablespoons of heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract

Instructions:

  1. Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper
  2. Chop the chocolates into smaller chunks 
  3. Crush the peppermint candies up 
  4. Using a double boiler method, melt ½ of the white chocolate 
  5. Once the white chocolate is completely melted pour it into the pan and evenly spread it around in the pan
  6.  Sprinkle ¼ of the peppermint candies over the melted white chocolate
  7. Let the chocolate cool and set for about 15 minutes
  8. Melt the dark chocolate, heavy cream, and peppermint extract using a double boiler method  
  9. Pour the dark chocolate mixture over the chilled white chocolate and let it set for about 20 minutes
  10. Repeat step 4 with the other half of the white chocolate
  11. Pour the white chocolate over the set dark chocolate and pour the rest of the crushed peppermint candies on top
  12. Let the peppermint chocolate bark set for about 20 minutes
  13. Break the peppermint chocolate into serving size pieces and serve 
  14. Enjoy!
