- Staying in bed: Because it is the only place you feel “safe” (especially when feeling suicidal)
- Spending an excessive amount of time on your phone: To distract yourself from intense negative thoughts
- Rewatching your favorite TV show: Because it gives you a sense of comfort and familiarity
- Immersing yourself in video games for hours on end: Because they provide temporary relief/ an “escape” from your suffering
- Engaging in unhealthy habits: Because you’ll do anything to try and feel some sense of pleasure
Before judging one’s behavior, please seek to understand the suffering that is behind it.
