The hospitalization for COVID-19 has now reached a record high. There are currently 145,982 people with COVID-19 hospitalized, which is about twice as many as two weeks ago. With more than 142,000 people hospitalized, hospitals had reached a peak about a year ago. COVID-19 hospitalizations had peaked on September 1, 2021, with about 104,000 people. Though some people who were hospitalized had come in for something other than the sickness, they still tested positive for COVID-19. The highest hospitalization rates for COVID-19 are in Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Ohio.
