On Friday, January 21st, the El Diamante girls soccer played Redwood High School at Redwood for their 4th league game of the season. Girls Junior Varsity lost to Redwood 1-0 in a hard-fought battle. Girls Varsity also lost to Redwood, 2-0. The first goal of Redwood’s was scored in the first five minutes of the game, and the Miners kept them at one goal for the rest of the half. The second goal was scored at the end of the second half, and the Miners were unable to score. Both teams went into the game undefeated in the league. Now, Redwood is in 1st place in the league and El Diamante is in 2nd. The Miners’ next game is on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, against Golden West at home. JV starts at 4:30 PM and Varsity starts at 6 PM.
