42-year-old Antonio Salas is now in jail accused of shooting his pregnant wife. Salas faces charges of attempt at murder and child endangerment; he is being held on a $500,000 bail.
Antonio Salas and his wife were in the middle of a verbal argument on February 3, 2022, when this incident occurred. The wife was pregnant and she was also holding their 1-year-old son in her hand, throughout the argument.
Antonio shot his wife in the hip, while she had their 1-year-old in her arms. The unborn baby and the 1-year-old were not harmed; luckily, the wife recovered from the shot fairly quickly.
Antonio ran away from his house after he shot his wife, but deputies found him and the gun that was used in the incident.
