On November 9th, 2010 one of the best shooter video games was released titled “Call of Duty Black Ops”. This game was made by Treyarch and was the first installment of a big video game franchise that would be loved by fans all over the world. This game was the greatest success and still is, everything about this game from the campaign, zombies, characters, missions, etc is perfect and definitely is one of the best video games and there are many more descriptive reasons why.
Black Ops 1 had many good characters that are still iconic to this day, these characters are immediately recognizable even if you say their name. There is Mason, Woods, Hudson, and Reznov. All those characters are what truly made the call of duty franchise and people had strong connections to them throughout the story and throughout the many very good missions.
The best part about Call of Duty Black Ops 1 is the campaigns that show up throughout the story. The Campaigns in the game are and will go down as the best campaigns in CoD history especially since most of them are very iconic. All of the campaigns are super amazing in the game but some of the best has got to be Operation 40 where it is the start of the video game and is still a very iconic mission and my personal favorite where you start from the iconic bar and end up at the intense airplane finale of the level. There is another very iconic level which is Vorkuta where you have to escape a prison following Reznov which is a very good part of the level and then you end up going out and escaping the soviet camp in Russia. There is another good campaign which is U.S.D.D and Executive order which in U.S.D.D it is just an interlude/story related mission where it is more to lead onto the next mission which is Executive Order which is really fun as well. There is S.O.G which is alright it’s my least favorite but then there is The Defector which is an outstanding level about making your way through a burning city. There is also another good level called Numbers which is more Mason storyline related where he escapes his chamber and then there is also Project Nova which is also really good.
Black Ops 1 has a very good campaign but also has what an amazing call of duty game has and that is a pretty solid zombies game mode. Obviously, the black ops 1 zombies do not compare to the Black Ops 2 zombies but the bo1 zombies still have some great maps ranging from Kino der Toten, Der Riese, Moon, and Verruckt. The Zombies are very original and iconic from black ops 1 though.
Overall Black Ops 1 is a very good game, in my opinion, it is in my top 5 games of all time and it is personally a perfect game for many reasons. The reasons are the characters, the story, the zombies, everything about Black Ops 1 is amazing and even though I haven’t played it forever it is still very good. Black Ops 1 is easily a 10/10 game even for it being like 12 years old and I recommend anybody who actually likes video games play Black Ops 1 if they haven’t already played it already which would surprising. Black Ops 1 is such a fantastic game and I genuinely think that what they did with it was amazing and I highly recommend people just watch gameplay on this perfection of a shooter game.
