How to be the Best Student

Being a good student takes a lot of work. You may not be the smartest student but you can be the best student you can possibly be by effort. The three main things needed to be a successful student are honesty, the ability to be taught, and effort.

When a teacher gives you work you have to be honest and do the work yourself. When taking a test you shouldn’t take a look at your partner’s work, you should always do your own work. If you copy someone else’s homework or copy their answers on a test you are only hurting yourself. Doing the work yourself allows you to learn the subject you are being taught and it feels better when you pass a test versus feeling guilty after cheating. You must also make sure to just not google answers when your teacher is asking you to find them from a textbook because the textbook may have the only answer your teacher is looking for.

Some people hate the idea that they are not always right. When being taught you can not have this kind of mindset. Some people don’t get what they are learning right away and just shut down. When people give up like this it is hard on the teacher because how are they supposed to teach you if you’re not willing to learn. Everyone makes mistakes so it is okay to make mistakes sometimes. Being afraid to even answer means you will never grow or learn a new subject.

If you are not smart or don’t understand anything very fast the one thing you can still have is effort. Most teachers will help you as much as they can if you are trying your best. If you put all of your efforts into a class you will most likely pass. Getting excited about what you are learning can help to motivate you to work hard and show full effort.

In conclusion, for students to become the best possible ones they can be is showing honesty, being able to learn, and use their full effort. If you do all of these things you will be a successful student.
