The first Ono Hawaiian BBQ opened in 2002 off the Santa Monica Boulevard and Bundy intersection in California. This will be the 20th year they have been open. Their restaurants are only open throughout California and Arizona. The creators are both related brothers, Josh and Joe Liang. They created this restaurant because they enjoy Hawaiian food and also the cuisines that could be made with the food. Ono is actually a Hawaiian word that describes food that is delicious.
Today will mark their 100th restaurant in South Mooney Blvd, Visalia. Celebrating the new restaurant will be giving out free pins and doing giveaways. They will also be having dancers that will come and enhance the spirit of the new store. They are currently still hiring people. If you’re interested, on their website, there is a link on the top for career opportunities that might interest you.
In celebration of the 100th store opening, they will be giving out scratchers throughout all of the stores for you to have a chance to win.
Their menu has a wide range of chicken, beef, seafood, and island food options. They have plates for lunch which come with one meat product, 2 scoops of their rice, a Macaroni salad, and vegetables. They also have aloha plates to choose from. If you aren’t feeling too hungry, there are mini plates for you to pick from. If you have a family of 4 and looking for a meal they provide a family meal. They have kid meals which are called Keiki meals. They have two salads, appetizers, and sides to choose from. For the beverages, they have multiple fountain drinks and they have a drink called Hawaiian Sun. The drink is a mix of orange juice and mango juice.
