Tulare County detectives are still working to track down the person who is responsible for shooting two Tulare County teenagers.

One of the victims was a 15-year-old boy who was killed in the shooting.

Around 1 am April 16, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the block of  Morgan Avenue in Exeter. The area is in the Toolville neighborhood west of the Friant Kern Canal.

Witnesses say gunfire erupted but it’s unclear what sparked the violence or how many people attended the party.

When the deputies arrived, they found an 18-year-old Tulare man and a 15-year-old Visalia boy suffering from gunshot wounds. The 15-year-old died at the scene while the 18-year-old man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

According to Ashley Ritchie, the spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department said the victims weren’t related and didn’t know each other.

Ritchie added, “Currently, we don’t have any suspect information and we are still attempting to contact people who attended the party.”
