Better Call Saul Episode 1-2 Review

Better Call Saul season 6 is finally airing. It premiered with a 2 episode special, and as always the writers did not disappoint. These two episodes mostly followed Nacho Varga running, hiding, fighting for his life down in Mexico, and Saul and Kim’s scheme to ruin Howard’s reputation. After the finale of season 5, Nacho is told by Mike that the leader of the cartel, Don Eladio, has placed a bounty on his head for helping with the assassination of Lalo Salamanca. Nacho’s story for these 2 episodes is basically him being extremely paranoid in his motel room. Nacho’s segment ends with him getting into a shootout with bounty hunters and the Salamanca brothers. Meanwhile, Saul and Kim are continuing their plot to get Howard’s reputation ruined so a certain case will go in Saul’s favor and Saul would get two million dollars. Saul and Kim have run a lot of scams before but this one is different. This time Kim was the one who came up with the idea but Saul doesn’t want to do it because he feels he’s bad for her because he sees Kim breaking bad. He still can’t bring himself to stop so they continue down this bad choice road. They ended up planting drugs in Howard’s locker at his country club while he was hanging out with a high-level lawyer/ business partner. They also tricked former clients into believing that Howard was on drugs during their case so they went to Howard’s business partner to talk down on him. The final thing to talk about is what Lalo is going to do because he didn’t actually die. I think he’s going to make his way back to Albuquerque.
