Monthly Music Rankings: AM by Arctic Monkeys

This month I’ve finally started my Arctic Monkeys binge. Clearly, I should have started listening ages ago, but have just come around to it. This is a band whose sound will never age terribly and I believe I’m very late to the party. The album “AM” was released in 2013 and features 12 tracks, including popular hits “Do I Wanna Know?”, “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?” and “R U Mine?” It’s also important to note that these three tracks are a part of their top five most-streamed songs on Spotify. Not bad for an album that’s one of their newer releases. Or maybe it isn’t quite new and I’m still having a hard time accepting that 2013 was nine years ago. Before I get off track, here is a quick ranking of AM’s worst (or least best) to best songs. For any alternative/punk music enjoyer, I think any of these songs could be a pleasure to listen to, considering you haven’t already.

12. I Want It All

11. Fireside

10. Snap Out Of It

9. R U Mine?

8. Knee Socks

7. Do I Wanna Know?

6. I Wanna Be Yours

5. One For the Road

4. Mad Sounds

3. Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?

2. Arabella

1. No. 1 Party Anthem
