One of the newest shows on Netflix, Heartstopper, was released on April 22, 2022. Also a book/comic series, it was created by Alice Oseman. We go through the lives of Nick and Charlie, how they are figuring themselves out, and their sexuality. They become unlikely friends, rugby star Nick Nelson and “gay nerd” Charlie Spring. They become each other’s best friends, and something more. This is a beautifully directed show. The cast was perfect, if you, like me, have read the books. The casting is absolutely perfect. After sparking a beautiful friendship, this tear-jerking show is a MUST to watch. It’s been extremely popular recently, it’s been on Netflix’s Top 10 since it was released. Even the books are on backorder until June/July since everyone wants to read them. I highly recommend it, it’s a cute coming-of-age romance show. It’s only 8 episodes long and could be watched in a day.
