This week, I challenged myself to pick my top 13 favorite TS songs; this was not easy considering that Taylor has such an extensive discography! Enjoy this swiftie’s top 13 picks!
13. Picture to Burn: Debut Album – This is a classic breakup song, but it’s definitely not overrated. Taylor’s vocals are amazing and I can’t wait to hear the re-recording of this song!
12. Clean: 1989 – I think that this is one of many songs that showcases Taylor’s impeccable writing skills. This is one of my all-time favorite TS lyrics, “Rain came pouring down, When I was drowning, that’s when I could finally breathe”.
11. You Belong With Me (Taylor’s Version): Fearless (Taylor’s Version) – The bridge of this iconic song has my heart.
10. the lakes: folklore – The vocals and lyrics of this song give me so much serotonin.
9. Haunted: Speak Now – I feel like this song was a bit of a departure from Taylor’s usual country style during the “Speak Now era”, but I’m honestly here for it!
8. The Lucky One (Taylor’s Version): Red (Taylor’s Version) – If you’re into old Hollywood, I would 100% recommend this song to you!
7. mirrorball: folklore – This song is such an underrated masterpiece, it’s literally a manifestation of mirror balls and glitter.
6. Dancing With Our Hands Tied: reputation – This was (shockingly) the only rep song to make it on my list! It’s one of many absolutely stunning love songs that TS has written.
5. champagne problems: evermore – Once again, being the master architect she is, Taylor constructed a breathtaking bridge.
4. Daylight: Lover – This song perfectly encapsulates the “Lover era” and is one of the TS songs I listen to on the drive to school!
3. Wonderland: 1989 – Not many people know about this song, but it’s on the deluxe edition of “1989”. The vocal slides are jaw-dropping and this is definitely a little-known masterpiece!
2. willow: evermore – From the lyrics to the music video, this song beautifully represents the “evermore era”!
1. Lover: Lover – This title track has had my heart ever since Taylor released it in 2019. These are some of the most beautiful lyrics I have ever heard, “And at every table, I’ll save you a seat, lover”. The bridge of this song is phenomenal, and is truly one of the best things TS has ever written!
