The new Amazon Prime series, The Summer I Turned Pretty, will premiere on the streaming site on June 17, 2022. The Summer I Turned Pretty follows 16-year-old Isabel “Belly” Conklin as she spends her summers with her mother, older brother, mother’s childhood best friend, and her sons Conrad and Jeremiah in the fictional seaside town of Cousin’s Beach. Belly finds herself in a love triangle with the brothers. Jenny Han, the famous YA author, would have her trilogy The Summer I Turned Pretty turned into a television series for Amazon Prime, according to Deadline in February 2021. And this isn’t the first time Han’s work has been adapted for the screen. The To All the Boys trilogy, starring Lana Condor as Lara Jean Covey, was adapted by Netflix in 2018. “I’m so happy to tell Belly’s story,” author Jenny Han told Deadline in a 2021 interview. The Summer I Turned Pretty’s first teaser trailer was released on May 5, and you can watch it now to get a sneak peek at what’s to come this summer.
