New to the El Diamante teaching family is health teacher Mrs. Tucker. This is going to be her first year teaching after just graduating from Arizona State in January. Although she is new to the staff of El Diamante, she is actually a returning miner. Mrs. Tucker is an alumnus, as she graduated high school from here. An advancement of El Diamante, since she’s graduated, that she thinks is amazing is the creation of the academies designed to give students a head start on their careers, such as the STRONG academy and media arts academy. When first entering college, she was unsure exactly what she wanted to study, until she decided to become a teacher and has been working to do so for the last five years.
Aside from teaching, Mrs. Tucker enjoys keeping her body healthy with her favorite pastimes being weightlifting and hiking. With her spouse of five years, Mrs. Tucker is hoping to start a family soon. One thing that she wants the students on campus to know is that she is always available as some extra support. Her classroom is almost always open during lunch for any students to come in, no matter if you have been in her health classes or not. Making meaningful connections and a safe loving environment for students is her priority here at El Diamante. Mrs. Tucker’s room number is 361 for anyone who is interested.
