Movie Review of the Elvis Movie

The new Elvis movie that starred Austin Butler happened to be a very entertaining and eye-opening film of what some famous singers go through in their experiences. First off, I think the directors did an amazing job casting who would play Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker. Finding out that Austin Butler was so dedicated to his role that he actually lost touch with who he was before he shot for this film was truly shocking. It turns out that he started preparing during Covid and isolated himself from all connections to friends and family in order to really get in character. He watched all types of films, videos, and performances of Elvis in the hopes of being able to impersonate him without difficulty. A good majority of the movie was seen from the perspective of Colonel Tom Parker who believed that it was he who created the famous Elvis Presley. As the movie progresses, you’re able to see both sides as to why the Colonel was and wasn’t helpful in launching Elvis’ career. I would strongly recommend this movie to anyone who doesn’t know the story of Elvis Presley.
