Premier League Standings

This start of the Premier League is one of the best. Teams fighting for a spot in the top four are clawing to start number one this year. The biggest surprise in the Prem was the Man United team losing the first two games badly and now having a negative two-goal differential. But through all of that Man United is in 5th place, not in a champions league position, but still solid with 9 points on the table. A team to never expect in the top four is on the board with 10 points. It may be the beginning of the season but Brighton is doing super well and in the last five games have three wins, a tie, and a draw almost getting points in each match. One stand-out player from this team is Harry Kane with four goals starting this year. Tottenham Spurs have 11 points in the last five games, have won 3 games, and have two ties, so getting points in all 5 of the last games is a stellar way to start. Man City had one of the best pickups in the Premier League, one of which was the striker Erling Halland with the most goals in the Premier League so far. Halland has 8 goals which have been a big part of the 13 points that Man City has on the table. In the last five games, Man City has been crushing teams and has four wins! Man City did take a draw to Newcastle on Sunday, August 21st, but ever since have been stronger than ever. And in first place with a two-point lead over Man City is the unexpected Arsenal with 15 points. Arsenal so far has won all of their games to bring them this great lead. This team is going strong but can they keep this winning streak?  Arsenal plays this Sunday against Man United, a great game to watch this weekend.
