On June 5, the South Korean lunar probe ‘Danuri’ was launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. Some people say that moon exploration is terrific, while others wonder why going to the moon is terrific even though other countries like the United States have already gone there. First, neither the US nor other countries share 100% of the moon data. Therefore, when a country that has never explored the moon, such as South Korea, wants to do research on the moon, they have to request other countries to share data, and most of the countries try to trade or do not share the data. Thus, if a country explores the moon, it can equally share data with other countries. Also, if a country takes a picture of the moon, it could make a new discovery by researching a point other countries have missed or not focused on. Therefore, exploring the moon creates data assets of academic value, and it is able to be a supplier for other countries. Overall, that it can share academically valuable data on an equal footing with other countries and become a supplier to other countries, exploring the moon is a terrific thing for a country.
