Fans of Slipknot have started to speculate with each other that the title of the band’s new album “The End, So Far”, could mean that Slipknot may be going their separate ways.

Corey Taylor, frontman of Slipknot”, explained the meaning of the title of Slipknot’s 7th studio album. During a live show over the summer, Corey took the time to clear up any rumors that Slipknot might be breaking up due to the album’s name.

He stated, “That could not be further from the truth, my friends”, he told the crowd. The reason the name is ‘The End, So Far’ is because it is the end of one chapter, and the beginning of another chapter. Can you feel me out there friends?!”

Corey also addressed the rumor while appearing on SiriusXM’s ‘Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk’, where he offered a more in-depth explanation.

“People have been talking about the end of Slipknot since 2003, so it doesn’t really matter,” he said. “If I had a nickel for every time I’ve had to straighten fans out, I’d have a ton of nickels, let’s put it that way.

“Nothing sells albums like drama, let’s put it that way, and even drama that doesn’t even come from us; it just comes from the fans. But at the same time, I kind of started saying onstage…. explaining what the title is.”
