On Thursday, Miner’s water polo went short against Clovis East with a final score of 12-7. Clovis East was a very solid team with very good coaching staff. El Diamante had a decent first half keeping up with them, but then fell apart in the second half of the game. Rylan Mongomery had a great game with 4 goals, Holden Benevento had 3 goals, and Avery Conway was solid on the defensive end. It was not the game the boys wanted, but they will be back to beat them the next time they play them.
