A brand new member of the El Diamante staff is the campus supervisor, Mr. Harris. Although he is new to our campus, Mr. Harris has been on the school scene since 2015. His first job in the education business was as a special education paraeducator at Highland High school in Rhode Island, which is where he grew up. He has worked at many different elementary & middle schools in Washington since his relocation to the state in 2019. At Heatherwood Middle school in Washington, he was a basketball coach as well as a track coach! Ever since he was thirteen years old he held the dream of becoming an administrator on a school campus. As of right now, he is completing his bachelor’s in education, but farther down the line, he is considering studying for a master’s degree in administration.
Aside from his job, Mr. Harris loves spending time with his family, working out, and watching sports. His favorite sports teams are the New England Patriots, Dallas Mavericks, and the New York Yankees and when they are on the TV, he must be watching. He also has a wife that he just married in July of this year.
He is loving El Diamante. His favorite thing about our campus, so far, is how all of the staff has been very welcoming with open arms since he knows how hard that type of community is to find. Mr. Harris is glad to be a Miner!
