A Walk To Remember is a love story so sweet, it tells a story of a romance between two 18-year-olds who are complete opposites. Jamie Sullivan is an outsider who is made fun of because she is different from everyone else. Her father is the local mister. Landon Carter is a senior boy who is the typical popular bad boy, one day a dare goes terribly wrong and one of his friends is paralyzed in a diving accident. As his punishment he is ordered by the principal to join the drama club to “ meet new people” but Jamie is in that club too. He starts to notice her in a different way, he asks her for help with the lines. Jamie believes that Landon is a good, nice, sincere boy but then she approaches him and he says something that hurts her feelings. Later, he goes to her house and he sees she is hurt and upset. Later on, he tries to prove to her that he can change and he asked her out on a date but he needs to ask permission from her father. The father eventually says yes and they start to get close and the love story begins. His popular friends find out and they started to bully her more, and he finds out and punches one of them in the face. He starts to realize that those people aren’t his friends. Months later, they are in love with each other but she warned him when they first were dating to not fall in love with her. Now he finds out why she said that. She was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia and only has a few months left to live.
