In Paula Daly’s debut book, “Just What Kind of Mother Are You?”, a gut-wrenching, suspense-driven novel, we follow the story of a mother’s worst nightmare. Her child is being kidnapped. A book I feel every woman, mother, grandmother, or teenager should read. What do you do when your best friend’s child gets kidnapped under your watch? Lisa Kallisto has to figure that out in this novel. Imagine your whole world is flipped upside down in a matter of 24 hours. We follow the 4-day kidnapping crime, in this matter of 4 short days, everyone’s life in this small town is destroyed. People aren’t who you perceive them to be, everyone has secrets, lives are ruined, schemes are created and destroyed, and this small happy town is destroyed. It’s a good short read, only 313 pages, and great to use for passing the time.
