Next week, on September 30, Slipknot will finally unveil their new album, ‘The End, So Far’, and the 9 from Iowa are keeping us satisfied until then. This week, they’ve been teasing small snippets of songs from the new album, excluding “The Dying Song (Time to Sing), Yen, and The Chapeltown Rag.”
This week, they released a snippet of a song on the new album called “Acidic,” and last night, (September 22nd) they released a minute-long clip of a new grotesque video for the new song, as well as a small snippet of the HEAVY main riff.
What we know about “Acidic” so far is that it will be the eighth track in “The End, So Far’s” tracklist, and it has a guitar riff that trudges forward with a post-metal type churn. It sounds pretty freakin’ awesome, and the portion of the music video that goes with the song focuses on creepy and spine-chilling shots of guitarist Mick Thomson, including one segment where he rips his scary mask off to reveal a gory face beneath the mask.
“The End, So Far,” is out September 30th, in stores and on all streaming platforms.
