Although it may not seem like it, this movie is indeed a Western. This movie took place during the early 1900s when many were getting rich from the oil business. This movie tells the story of Daniel Plainview, an upcoming oil entrepreneur. It goes over the whole process of Daniel Plainview starting his oil business from the ground up and all the hurdles he has to get through to become a successful oilman. This movie features well-known actors such as Paul Dano (The Riddler in Batman (2022) and Daniel Day-Lewis (Academy Awards winner for My Left Foot, There Will Be Blood, and Lincon). This film is definitely worth the watch if you’re into drama/western films. However, it is rated R so keep that in mind before you go watching it.
