Beginning October 1st, many college resources have opened up for applicants. California State applications have now been opened up for submissions, as well as University of California applications are now being able to be submitted. Although, UC applications have been open to working on them for quite some time now. A big step in the college process is filling out your FAFSA (Free Application For Student Aid) form, which also just opened up this Saturday. You do have until March to fill out this application, but it is best to get it done as soon as possible because they do get low on money. The later you turn in the application, the less amount of money is left to give out.

The deadline to apply to all of the UCs and State schools is November 30th. Even though you have two months to finish these applications, it is important to start working on them as soon as possible. The University of California school’s application is very time-consuming and requires four essays to be written. You want to make sure that you have enough time to perfect those essays, as well as the rest of your application, so get started on them as soon as possible. Don’t wait until the last day to turn in your applications, as website crashes and things out of your control can happen.

Do not let this time of college applications stress you out. Do your best on all your essays and call it good! If you do not end up getting accepted into your dream college, do not freak out. The right college is out there waiting for you.
