This school year, El Diamante welcomes Ms. Avila to the staff, as an On-Campus Intervention teacher. On Campus Intervention is new to high school this year; being useful in many different ways. Ms. Avila went to the College of the Sequoias for one year, then completed her bachelor’s degree at Fresno State, and received her Masters from Fresno Pacific. Previously she was a Special Ed teacher for the past 34 years. Ms. Avila is divorced and has two children, a daughter and a son. In her free time, she likes to travel, and visit her children. She also enjoys coloring, especially mandalas. Ms. Avila loves the welcoming environment that the staff and students bring. Concluding her interview, Ms. Avila wanted to share, “Our theme this year for staff is one team, one family. I am glad to be a part of the El Diamante family. I hope to see our school grow into a tighter family.”
