Pakistan Floods

In mid-June of this year, Pakistan experienced mass amounts of floods that wiped out multiple villages and destroyed millions of homes and livelihoods. These record-breaking floods show how climate change has affected poor areas the hardest. Millions of people are stuck, surrounded by water, and stranded on “islands” that were once hustling villages. The little media coverage Pakistan is receiving goes to show how seriously their crisis is being taken and how other problems are deemed more important. These floods are affecting 33 million people and so far more than 1500 people have been killed (528 children) by the dangerous climates. One-third of the country is under water and people suffering from these climates are begging for others to spread awareness.
