According to ALISHA VASQUEZ “Aladdin” is a pretty mediocre movie. From the movie’s themes being readable within ten minutes and the soundtrack being classified as very minimal. Being an Aladdin enthusiast I cannot sit by and watch the slander upon a movie that should be adored.
Aladdin starts off with a phenomenal piece called Arabian Night which draws in the watchers due to the mysterious key it’s in. We then get a glimpse at what Aladdin’s daily life is like through another engaging piece called One Jump Ahead (One of my favorites from the movie). Again and again, the movie provides an amazing soundtrack in order to help the story progress while simultaneously engaging the audience. The soundtrack is not just “minimal”, but a thoughtful and creative one. And while some may believe the theme is too easy to recognize, I have one question: What Disney movie isn’t? Most Disney Movies’ target audience is children so, of course, it has to have a simple enough theme for them to understand. So if you think the theme was too easy for you then Disney executed their movie perfectly.
