On October 20, 2022, the San Francisco 49ers finalized a trade with the Carolina Panthers in order to obtain star running back Christian McCaffrey in exchange for draft picks. The 49ers gave up a 2nd round pick in 2023, a third-rounder in 2023, a fourth-round pick in 2023, and a fifth-round pick in 2024. The 49ers will now have four key weapons on their offense, including Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and now Christian McCaffrey. I can definitely see McCaffrey being a star for the 49ers as long as he stays healthy. McCaffrey has had his fair share of injuries in his time with the Panthers so hopefully, that is not repeated in San Francisco.
