A 23-year-old was arrested after throwing eggs at King Charles III and Camilla as they were in the city of York. The incident happened while Charles and Camila were entering the city through the Micklegate bar. While the Royals would be traditionally welcomed, this time they were being egged on. Video footage shows that there were several eggs thrown yet none seem to hit their intended target. The man was quickly detained and he was reportedly booing and shouting “This country was built of the blood of slaves”. Other patrons began to try and drown his shouts by chanting “Shame on you” and “God Save the King”. The North Yorkian Police say the man was arrested for suspicion of a public order offense.
