Within the vehicle tuning community, many cars are favored over one another. When certain vehicles are favored, it leaves potential competitors in the dust. People tend to overlook certain cars that could be great for their modding and racing rituals. This is a detailed list of vehicles that are extremely underrated when it comes to modding a work of art on wheels. Everybody loves the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Lancer Evo when it comes to their shift speed and drifting potential. What people tend to overlook is the 1999 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4. This was Mitsubishi’s first attempt at making a tuner vehicle with drag straight-away potential. The car came with a stock 320 horsepower, tons of engine bay space, and a four-wheel driveline system that could jump the gun like no other. At the time, trigger-happy teenagers and car enthusiasts were more concentrated on the idea of drifting, leading this car to flop on the market. When most people think of American muscle, they look no further than the Ford Mustang. What individuals don’t notice, is the multiple years in which the Mustang didn’t receive much love. When the “New Edge” body style Mustang came out in 1999-2004 many people disapproved of the design. People sought it out to be “ugly” and “a disgrace” to the muscle community. There is one car in particular throughout the years of the “New Edge” Mustang that definitely deserved more love than it received. This car was the 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R. This car came strapped with a beautiful V8 engine along with an impressive 390 ponies. This particular vehicle also came with a huge Cobra R-style wing that shredded through the wind. The last underrated vehicle on this list is the 2005 BMW E46 M3. When car enthusiasts buy BMWs, they typically go for the E36 M3 or the E30 M3 models. With this being said, the E46 M3 tends to be looked down upon in a negative manner. The 2005 E46 M3 is actually quite a tank of a Euro vehicle. The E46 comes strapped with a turbocharged V6 engine with 333 horsepower stock. It looks extremely stylish and does the job in a straight-away race. Overall, if you take pride in tuner vehicles, definitely take some time to look at these vehicles because many others haven’t.
