CIF Championships

This past weekend the El Diamante In Motion dance team and the cheer team got the opportunity to compete at CIF Championships at Buchanan High School. The day started out rocky for the girls. The girls were supposed to leave on the school bus at 8:15 to arrive at the competition in time to check in and get ready to warm up at their assigned time, 9:30. However, the bus was not there to pick them up. The girls waited for the bus and finally they had to carpool to the competition, leaving later than planned. The girls arrived right at 9:30 and ended up being 15 minutes late to their assigned warm-up time, meaning the dance team had to stretch and practice their dance in a shorter amount of time than expected. The dance team went out there and gave it all they had, even with their stressful morning. They performed a nice and clean pom routine to a Rihanna remix. As the girls watched the rest of the dances they got ready for awards. The girls ended up winning first place in their division! These girls were more than excited to hear that they are the Valley Champions; all of their hard work paid off. The dance team brought home a plaque and each girl got their own CIF hat and patches.

After lunch, the El Diamante cheer team got to warm up and practice their routine. These girls got on that stage and killed it, they performed the best that they could. These girls gave it their all and they ended up also placing 1st in their division also.

Both of these teams came back as 1st place winners of the CIF Championships, bringing back plaques to be displayed. These girls did the best they could and put so much effort into their performances. After the very stressful morning, the girls put their best efforts forward and took 1st place.
