A great place to visit would be going to Mammoth Lakes. It’s in Mono County, Ca. and is located to the east of Mammoth Mountain. Mammoth offers exciting opportunities in a sensational beautiful setting. Mammoth Lakes is worth visiting for its spectacular natural scenery. Mammoth Mountain is over 57,000 years old and was formed by volcanic eruptions. Now is home to an amazing resort that opens year-round for activities. With over 3,500 acres of terrain suitable for skiing and boarding Mammoth has well-groomed slopes for skiers, snowboarders, snow tubes, and more. In the summer it’s home to many beautiful hot springs and many hiking trails leading to stunning viewpoints. The hike reaches an elevation of over 7,500 feet. So might want to take it slow if you are used to being close to the sea levels. The powdered peaks of the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area and surrounding wilderness draw skiers, snowboarders, snowmobilers, and ice skaters every winter. Summers are quieter and less crowded, but vacationers in search of the path less traveled will find secluded biking and hiking trails, rushing rivers, icy mountain lakes, green golf courses, and breathtaking sceneries.
