Consumption of Energy

The other day I had to do an extra credit project on the amount of energy me and my family use in a month. And I was genuinely surprised because of how much we use from season to season. We tended to use more energy throughout winter and less throughout spring. So much in fact that it nearly doubled our bill. The assignment called for me to list items I use daily, how much kWh each one uses, and for how long they’re used. Of course, my prediction of heaters consuming the most energy during the winter was right. Monitoring how long you have your heater on and keeping it at a reasonable temperature would reduce the amount of energy I use by a great amount. The main lesson I learned is I need to be more considerate with what I use because it definitely comes into play with our energy/electric bill.
