Despite the weather, we pulled through with a win over Edison yesterday afternoon with a score of 5-2. Matthew Bettencourt started on the mound and pitched 5 and ⅓ perfect innings before giving up 1 hit. Trevor Hampel then came in to relieve and put the game away. Our top performer of the game, and the “Diamond Dog,” was Caleb Silva who went 2 for 3 with 2 RBIs, a triple, and 2 runs scored. Heading into next week, we have 3 games. We will head to Clovis High School on Tuesday, followed by Hanford on Thursday, and then will finish the week with a home game against San Joaquin Memorial on Saturday at 11am. We are confident going into these next few games and we are looking to continue our winning streak.
