Clocks Are Ticking

Clocks are ticking, times a wasting away.

The only thought in my brain is wishing for the next day.

Too many mistakes, everythings gray, wish I went upon this in a different way.

No, I don’t know everything, I tried to do things independently.

Though it’s often difficult, I’m glad I got humbled.

While I still grow old there are things I haven’t told yet. I hope I’ll have time to learn every line.

I’m busy wasting time. People say I often lie, they are confused with a different guy.

Cause I am a lady and I ain’t shady. Never let that nasty way affect me, not till the age of eighty.

I keep it true with the things I do, don’t need a dude.

I got my own Mercedes. Cause that’s the type of lady you’ll meet.

Someone who keeps it true like me is someone to keep.

A lady like me.

Cause clocks are a ticking and a times are a wasting away.

You got me, I’m excited for the next day.

Catch me on a Tuesday thinking bout’ Wednesday,

catch me on that Wednesday thinking bout’,

you guessed it Thursday!

Cause that’s the type of lady I’ll be, a lady like me is a lady to keep.
