Our very own Thomas Rosa has been awarded the officer position of FFA State Sentinel. This is an absolutely amazing accomplishment, and the FFA department as well as all of El Diamanté is very proud of Thomas. Here are some fun facts:
- Since the early 1930’s Visalia has had 7 CA State FFA Officers holding the positions of Sentinel, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and President (only once and it was also an El D student that made history)
- The last Visalia State Officer was 4 years ago (El D student who won president) and before that, it had been 24 years
- Thomas Rosa is now a leader of over 100,000 FFA members in the state of CA
- There are over 330 FFA Chapters in CA
- California is 2nd in FFA membership in the nation (Texas is 1st)
- FFA is the largest youth organization in the nation
